The Secretary-General of CIETAC (China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission), Mr. LONG Chuanhong, has sent a letter of thanks to Mr. Gaston KENFACK DOUAJNI, President of APAA, for his contribution to the China Arbitration Summit 2026 & China High-level Dialogue on Maritime and Commercial Arbitration, held in Beijing on 17–18 September 2026.

The Summit brought together nearly 400 participants from 41 countries and regions, with the webcast drawing over 5.14 million views from 55 countries and regions, and wide coverage by leading Chinese media, including CCTV.

In its letter, the CIETAC noted that Mr. KENFACK DOUAJNI’s contribution as a speaker at Session I was instrumental to the success of this valuable and productive Summit, and expressed its wish to continue their cooperation in promoting the further development of international arbitration.

APAA warmly welcomes this recognition, which reflects the growing role of African — and OHADA — expertise in the global arbitration conversation.

Thank-you Letter for Gaston KENFACK DOUAJNI from SG of CIETAC
